School Programs

Amplify is very active in the school system and will provide classroom based prevention sessions to over 3,500 students this year.

Using LifeSkills, a research based program, Amplify facilitators spend several weeks in classrooms teaching students about communications skills, self-esteem, and resiliency skills.

So far this 2010-2011 school year, through Amplify, Life Skills has reached about 700 elementary school students, 900 middle school students and 40 high school students. We have upcoming classes for the second half of the year that will reach about 600 elementary, 400 middle and 100 high school students. That will be a total of almost 3000 students in St. Tammany Parish.

Amplify also provides speakers to the schools on a regular basis for student assemblies and teacher inservices.

Additionally, Amplify offers programs to PTA members and other parent groups such as presentations, materials, and other resources.
